61- WE ARE NOT THE DREAMS

The learning process of the Way requires going through short-term and long-term cycles. Each cycle is always a new lesson.

A new lesson comes only after a previous lesson was solved, and the practitioner goes back to his state of balance.

Each lesson comes with joy, grief, suffering, and happiness. There are moments that the mind is dense and obscure; then suddenly it becomes illuminated, as if it has just awakened after a long sleep.

The human mind can be sometimes OBSCURE and sometimes ILLUMINATED, so that we must learn constantly. Human beings must evolve from ignorance to awakening through lessons, and they must keep on doing this.

As our learning improves we can see that we evolve from one state of ignorance to another, and we must keep ourselves in check all the time in order to recognize the sudden elevation of our consciousness. We must keep up with its pace in order to evolve and to avoid falling back into the deep hollow of the past -- in other words, back to the starting point.

The Way has many fragrant flowers and exotic grasses, along with many sufferings and pains. To advance, we must have courage and willpower to disregard happiness and suffering in life.

We must be awakened to realize that happiness and suffering in life are only dreams. We should recognize that WE ARE NOT THE DREAMS, but THE SELF OF THE AWAKENING. We remain unchanged, but the dreams will be changing. We are eternal, while the dreams are ephemeral.

When we can realize that we are not the dreams in life, we will be awakened, and LIFE WILL TRULY ARISE INSIDE US.
