58- WAYS TO DEAL WITH DIFFICULT CIRCUMSTANCES

First, I must keep my mind tranquil in order to avoid an event affecting my wits, causing me to fear that I need to protect myself. I should have a detached and objective attitude about any effect my surroundings might have on me.

I watch my surroundings as if they were a piece of drama in a theatre. I reflect on the characters, predict their reactions, and anticipate the consequences and implications of what is happing in each situation.

From there, I can decide for the character “I” how I should treat, act, and react in order to obtain satisfactory results. I should avoid all emotion-based actions, and always recognize the difference between feeling and intuition.

To avoid confusion between feeling and intuition, I must remain in the state of a steady mind. With a steady mind, wakefulness will be lucid and sharp enough to open wide the sense organs and feelings, to receive all the facts about what is happening without making any mistake.

Sharp wakefulness and accurate perception are two important factors to nurture “the objective self-determination,” so that I know who I am and will not be confused with that “delusive I” or that “character I” created by others. I will know clearly that which I say, think, and act, without being manipulated by delusion or others around me. I will not be an ephemeron of myself or others around me; I will become the TRUE I, not THE ONE THAT I WANT TO BECOME.
