How should we be our own master and others’ master?
To be our own master and others’ master, we should know to distinguish which feeling is ours and which is theirs, so we will not confuse our feeling as theirs and vice versa.
Being confused between our feelings and others’ feelings will result in false self-confidence or delusion, and this will make us act wrongly.
True self-confidence based on a steady mind will help us to be the master of our feelings as well as others’ feelings; once our mind is steady, we will no longer be affected by others’ feelings.
Our steady mind will also help us to see our true level and others’ level. Thus, our true self-confidence will increase and help us to be our own master as well as others’ master.
A steady mind will also help us to know what to say or not, and to understand what others are saying and at what level, as we are no longer influenced by their false value or level.
